Elizabeth II appeared in public with a cane
On Tuesday, October 12, the 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth attended a service of thanksgiving on the occasion of the centenary of the Royal British Legion at Westminster Abbey in London. The Queen exited the car, leaning on a cane.
As writes the Daily Mail, Elizabeth II had previously appeared in public several times with a cane in 2003-2004, but then she was recovering from surgery on her knee.
Today, for the first time, the queen used a cane "for comfort." According to media reports, this choice could have been influenced by the cobblestone entrance to the abbey. The Queen was accompanied by her daughter Princess Anne.
