Trump plans to get his Twitter Account back through the court
Former U.S. President Donald Trump has sent a request to the federal court of Florida with a request to force the social network Twitter to temporarily restore his page while he is suing for the full return of the account, Bloomberg reports.
According to the publication, the request of the former US president for a preliminary injunction against Twitter was filed late Friday in a Florida court. Trump believes that Twitter blocked his account under pressure from his political rivals in Congress.
"Twitter has unprecedented power and control over political discourse in this country. It is immeasurable and extremely dangerous for open democratic debates," the former president's lawyers said in a statement.
Trump also claims that when he was President of the United States, Twitter unreasonably censored his tweets, labeling them as "misleading information" or indicating that they allegedly violated company rules and "glorify violence."
According to the agency, Twitter did not comment on the statement of the former US president.
Earlier it was reported that Trump did not accept the blocking of his own accounts in the largest social networks and sued Facebook, Twitter, and Google, as well as their executives. The politician is sure that IT giants violated his right to freedom of speech.
The accounts of the former US president on social networks were blocked after the storming of the Capitol on January 6 of this year. Then his supporters broke into the building of the American Congress to prevent the procedure for approving the results of the presidential election, which was won by Trump's rival Democrat Joe Biden.
