Apple will raise the price of the iPhone

Apple plans to set a higher price for smartphones of the iPhone 13 series, which will be released this fall, MacRumors reports, citing sources.

This is due to the existing shortage of semiconductors, which forced the chip manufacturer TSMC to increase its production costs by 20% from January 2022.

In this regard, Apple, which is the largest customer of TSMC and whose orders account for more than 20% of the total revenue of the manufacturer, will raise prices by 3-5% for all products, including the iPhone 13 line.

Earlier, TrendForce analysts calculated how much the smartphones of the Apple line planned for the fall will cost.

So, the iPhone 13 mini will cost the buyer $700, the iPhone 13 — $800, the iPhone 13 Pro — $1000, and iPhone 13 Pro Max — $1100.
