The US has launched the largest exercises since the Cold War

The U.S. Navy has launched the largest exercises since the Cold War. The country wants to show NATO's determination and its new maritime capabilities. This was reported in the U.S. 6th Fleet of the Navy.

Thus, the Large Scale Exercise 2021 will be held from August 3 to 16. They will involve 36 ships, including the aircraft carrier USS Mount Whitney and submarines.

According to available data, the training will cover exercises in strategic and tactical actions.

“LSE 2021 is the first large-scale naval and amphibious exercises conducted after the NATO Ocean Venture exercise, launched in 1981 during the Cold War,” the report says.

The exercises will show NATO's determination, as well as simulate new US capabilities on the water. They will be held in 17 time zones. The training also involves Marine expeditionary forces, Marine Corps teams, and so on.
