In the U.S. a scandal broke out between Democrats and Republicans

The next wave of coronavirus is gradually covering America. The state of Florida, which accounts for 20 percent of all infections in the United States, is recognized as the new epicenter of the spread of COVID-19. Democrats argue that the situation in the country is generally under control, and that unvaccinated citizens are to blame. Anthony Fauci, the chief medical adviser to President Biden, believes the same.

However, what happened in Provincetown, Massachusetts casts doubt on such claims. In this tourist town, after a massive influx of tourists on the occasion of the US Independence Day, there was an unprecedented outbreak of the disease, and as it turned out, most of the cases, about 70 percent, were vaccinated.

According to reports from local doctors, most of these citizens suffered a mild illness. It took only a couple of hospitalizations, and there were no deaths at all. But these people eventually became carriers and were able to infect others. The spread of the Delta strain, the main culprit of the new wave of COVID-19 in the United States, is associated with both vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens — this fact was recognized by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), whose leadership has not yet decided on how to inform the public that Delta is capable of penetrating the protection of vaccines used in the States.

The leadership of the Democratic Party really does not want to take responsibility for a possible lockdown and the associated dire consequences for the economy. All the blame for future problems the Democrats seek to place on the Republicans and their electorate, among which, judging by opinion polls, there are indeed more unvaccinated people. About 86 percent of Democratic voters in the last election received at least one dose of the vaccine, compared with “only” 45 percent of Republican voters, according to a poll conducted by the Washington Post in conjunction with ABC News.

The leadership of the Democratic Party deliberately draws the Republicans into a “political” war. What is the latest demand of 81-year-old Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House of Representatives, to oblige Congressmen, employees, and visitors to wear masks inside the Capitol “Nancy Pelosi told Capitol Hill police that staff and visitors would be arrested for not wearing a mask. She just went nuts about this,” Congresswoman Nancy Mayes told Fox New.

US Vice President Kamala Harris has changed the rules for wearing masks for journalists covering the White House. Moreover, she did this even before the authorities of the capital studied new documents on the recommendatory wearing of masks on the premises. The pool's journalists regularly tested for COVID-19, the vast majority of whom are also vaccinated, were extremely puzzled by this requirement. “Covid-related rules change so quickly these days that people in charge of this country don't know what to do,” NY Post reporter Stephen Nelson wrote. The top of such a demonstratively deliberate behavior was the appearance in public of the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin. Upon arrival in the Philippines, Austin was vaccinated against the coronavirus, got off the plane not just wearing a thick black mask, but also with a plastic screen covering his face. I avoided shaking hands, preferring to strike with a fist or an elbow. But the screen did not last long on Austin's head, and later, at a meeting with Filipino leader Rodrigo Duterte, he was already wearing a mask.

The American authorities will not open their borders to tourists from the European Union, fearing that they could worsen the already difficult situation with regard to the incidence of coronavirus. Recall that the then US President Donald Trump “closed” from the Europeans in March last year. But the current owner of the White House, Joe Biden, is in no hurry to overturn the decision of his predecessor. Most of all in Washington they fear a new delta strain, which, as you know, is spreading extremely quickly and has now become dominant in the United States.

European officials should be doubly offended: back in June, they recommended that the member countries of a united Europe begin to receive guests from the New World again. As noted by the magazine Der Spiegel, today those few visitors from the European Union who still manage to get to the United States feel like outcasts, unlike tourists from Asia, Africa, or Latin America. When the US government will reopen its doors to Europeans is unclear. Even the corresponding request of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who recently visited Washington, was not enough. According to the head of the US State Department, Anthony Blinken, the White House is guided by the opinion of medical experts in this matter.
