NATO told about the possibility of a strike on Russia in the Black Sea

The commander of the US Navy in Europe and Africa, Admiral Robert Burke, made a statement about whether NATO forces can open fire on Russian ships in the Black Sea under certain circumstances.

“It can be argued that they are provoking us to strike first,” the general said in an interview with Business Insider. He explained that Russian pilots fly in proximity to a warship, then at this moment, only the commanders of this vessel make a decision whether to attack a foreign aircraft or not.

According to Burke, NATO forces are not going to strike Russia first. At the same time, he noted that he would not require ship commanders to take the first blow to the jaw.

At the same time, Berg noted that, in general, the actions of the Russian Navy to escort NATO ships are safe and professional.
